Gracias a la Vida is a design project focused on exploring traditional gift-making practices. It studies matriarchal gift-making traditions in South American cultures. The project itself is a tribute to the people I met and places I visited during my trips to Uruguay and Argentina in 2023. It is a symbolic "thank you" to the people and communities in South America as well as to the people in Vancouver whose presence in my life supported the development of my design practice.
